Albert Frank Tucci is a multi-genre songwriter, composer, guitarist, and music educator. As a roctogenarian (see Mo Rocca's book "Roctogenarians"), his passion as a late-in-life achiever is showcased in his latest music.
When asked about his influences he said, “it’s a confluence of over 60 years of many forms of music that has shaped my musical tastes and my songwriting. It starts with the emotive 40s, followed by the eclectic and nostalgic 50s, to the inspiration, influence, and diversity of the 60’s, segueing into the intense 70s, to the interesting 80s, leading to the innovative and groundbreaking 90’s. Pining over 6 decades of music hasn't waned my interest and attention to the music of the new millennium with its intriguing and multi-cultural all-star cast of female and male artists.”
But there was something else that was ushered in the new millennium - a worldly undertone and overcast of uncertainty, doubt, apprehension, and mistrust. Tucci thought that this was a good starting point for him to explore questions of faith, hope, and the flight from darkness to light - a theme that permeates throughout this album.
Fittingly, Tucci's mention of a 'good starting point' is not lost considering he lives in Hopkinton, MA, the starting line of the world-famous Boston Marathon, where the motto is “It All Starts Here.”
Tucci shares that his goal is to achieve an inspirational experience, a moving and enriching aural visual experience for the viewer/listener and, first and foremost, to give thanks to the One who gave him the gift of musical expression.
