About the Music

Love Me to Life is an album of ten lyric videos.  The music could easily fall into the Pop, AOR, MOR, Easy Listening, or even in the Film genre.  But the album's lyrical course of thought and meaning clearly points to other genres including Christian pop, inspirational, spiritual, and contemporary Christian based on its soul-searching and Godward lyrics.

This is quite a musical and lyrical departure for Tucci but, as he says, “…it was a cathartic welcoming.  I'm a 'rock ‘n’ roll' guy but this album took me on a road less traveled.  It guided and inspired me in spiritually-rooted themes of which many are scripturally based.”  He says it gave him a chance to address one’s inner struggles “with war on the mind, the body, and the soul…I have something to say, and I wanted to say it using a formula that deviates from the traditional vocal-centric lyric video.”

The album is lyric video variation.  There are no vocals.  His musical, lyrical, and video format commands attention.  The lyrics ‘sing’ the song.  The songs are supported by an orchestrated melody.  The thoughtful approach to sync and animate his lyrics is underscored by poignant videos supporting the theme.  Tucci said that he “strove to have both lyrics and music become their own form of music…my music gives life to the lyrics, my lyrics paint the picture, and the videos frame the song.”

Tucci was asked why not entertain the idea of getting a singer to sing the songs.  Tucci response was interesting.  He said, “I’m not adverse to having a vocalist, but I wouldn't be looking for a singer. I’d be looking for ‘the voice,’ a song stylist who not only sings but is able to interpret the lyrics.  One who could elevate these songs to a new emotional height.”  See Contacts for professional and business inquiries, permissions, and comments.

There are two musical forms to choose from: the lyric videos and the instrumentals. The instrumentals have a backstory and are accompanied with lyrics.  The lyric videos are also presented on YouTube.
